Here we go again. I think the last week has proved to be a very fitting reflection of what it has been like to support Rangers in recent times. The last twelve months have been turbulent to say the least and that old cliché about it being a rollercoaster ride is proving to be very apt indeed. Rangers appeal against the SFA 12 month signing embargo was tonight thrown out by the SFA tribunal, leaving Rangers with a very difficult 12 months ahead.

The appeal hearing tonight at Hampden Park was heard by Lord Carloway, Craig Graham and Allan Cowan and was contested by Richard Keen QC on behalf of Rangers.

Further to the announcement the following statement was released which outlined the decisions of the appeals panel:

Sunday May 20th May at 12 noon will see Ibrox invaded by an army of supporters who will be walking 1 mile 872 yards round the hallowed turf of Ibrox in aid of their beloved team. All money raised in sponsorship from the '1872 Sponsored Walk' will be added to the £400,000 already raised for the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund by Rangers supporters.
